Get Unstuck From Patterns of Pain
I am a Life Coach, specializing in conscious career planning and transitioning. Lately, my clients, who are all highly evolved and conscious people are reporting significant levels of awareness and insights, more than usual. We are energized! Each week, my clients report blissful moments of surrender, acceptance and peace. In these peaceful moments or a-ah moments, they are completely present and focused and grounded in the breath. However, in the next instance, they report losing the moment, the focus and struggling to get "it" back.
It is by no coincidence that the book "The Power of Now - A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment" by Eckart Tolle has launched itself back into my life and the pertinent following passages speaking clearly to remind and encourage myself and my clients to embrace this moment fully. I hope you find the following excerpts taken from pages 31-41 inspirational to you.
"Pain is inevitable as long as you are identified with your mind, which is to say as long as you are unconscious, spiritually speaking... Resentment, hatred, self-pity, guilt, anger, depression, jealousy, and so on, even the slightest irritation are all forms of pain...Your true nature becomes obscured by the mind."
"Observe how the mind labels and how this labelling process, this continuous sitting in judgement, creates pain and unhappiness. By watching the mechanics of the mind, you step out of its resistance patterns, and you can then all the present moment to be. This will give you a taste of the state of inner freedom from external conditions, the state of true inner peace... Accept - then act. Whatever the present moment contains, accept it as you had chosen it. Always work with it, not against it."
"Pain-body: a dark shadow cast by the ego, is actually afraid of the light of your consciousness. It is afraid of being found out. Its survival depends on your unconscious identification with it, as well as on your unconscious fear of facing the pain that lives in you. But if you don't face it, if you don't bring the light of your consciousness into the pain you will be forced to relive it again and again...
The moment you observe it, feel its energy field within you, and take your attention into it, the identification is broken. A higher dimension of consciousness has come in. I call it presence. You are now the witness or watcher of the pain-body. This means that it cannot use you anymore by pretending to be you, and it can no longer replenish itself through you. You have found your own innermost strength. You have accessed the power of Now."
"When you start to disidentify and become the watcher, the pain-body will continue to operate for a while and will try to trick you into identifying with it again... it may also create physical aches and pains in different parts of the body, but they won't last. Stay present, stay conscious. Be the ever-alert guardian of your inner space."
